SEO Doesn’t Matter for Talent Acquisition – With The Data To Prove It

A while back I wrote a post about why SEO is a waste of time for HR. Up to this point, no one has come out to prove me wrong.  To be honest, I’m a bit saddened as I thought there’d be someone who’d cracked the code on a scalable SEO strategy that wasn’t purely based on branded keywords.  Oh well.

Because I still hear people talking about SEO in talent acquisition, I thought it was important to devote one of our Whiteboard Wednesday posts to this topic.  The headline is obvious – don’t waste your time on SEO if you’re in HR.  Here’s why: the best queries are all dominated by the job boards (Indeed, Glassdoor, etc) and the ones you have a good shot at ranking for, (“{{Your_Company}} Sales Jobs”) you already dominate.
